And They Lived Happily Ever After…

I was pondering with a girlfriend about the “happily ever afters…” at the end of movies. She pointed out that at the end of the fairy tale, the “happily ever after” was the same, the prince and princess going off into the sunset after their wedding. So, is the “happily ever after part” happening now or is it a reflective thing where you look back on your death bed and proclaim the “and they lived happily ever after?”

I thought about it all afternoon, and this is what I came up with:

Your happily ever after is happening at this moment. You are making your happily ever after. You are living it.

So, are you grasping the “happily” that is available for the taking right now? Or are you waiting for your “happily ever after” to happen?

If you’re not grasping your happiness today, your happily ever after is passing you by! It doesn’t need to start with a big wedding to a prince or princess in a castle; it starts with the decision to live it right now.

So go, live “happily ever after” today. I am.
