Most days I feel like a bad mother. Between working a lot, from home, so I can never leave; and homeschooling and doctor’s appointments, I feel like I am seriously damaging my child and one day will have the therapy bills to prove it. Then, I saw this posted on someone’s Facebook wall today, and I felt a little better.
I wasn’t quite so hard on myself and it reminded me the most important job I have in this world. Being a mom.
To all the Mama’s out there, you’re the best!
A New Perspective For Moms from Elevation Church on Vimeo.

Yesterday was a typical homeschool day. School, library, grocery shopping, doctor’s appt, science experiment and dessert before dinner. We also made a blue whale out of clay.
I watched that video the other day and wondered what my kids would say. My oldest son, 17, once told me he thought I was the strongest person he knows because I raise 4 kids on my own and work hard even when I have a migraine. My youngest daughter, 9, says I have the most beautiful hair and smile. She wrote that in her mommy and me journal. I’m not sure what my middle two would say, though.
I will say this: I think us moms are rock stars even when we totally mess up a day.
[I know there are some really lousy moms out there. I won’t address that, though.]
